We’re Eloise and Ramiro, and we welcome you warmly to our little digital home, The Relocation Chronicles.

Our journey together started on a teeny, tiny tropical island in the middle of the Great Barrier Reef. What started as a whirlwind island romance quickly transcended into that ‘i-dont-think-i-ever-want-to-live-without-you’ kind of love, and here we are, almost two years down the track, still refusing to live without each other.

When we made the decision last year that we would relocate to the UK after our Australian visas expire, we didn’t realise we’d be met with quite so many relocation challenges. Obstacles that are preventing Ramiro from entering the country on a working visa until at least December.

After some thorough research and a few tears, it quickly became clear that the easiest option for the both of us would be to return to our home countries and wait the 8 months until we got the green light.

But hey, ‘i-dont-think-i-ever-want-to-live-without-you’ kind of love, remember?

So, embracing our shared wanderlust, we decided to take this opportunity to make the slowest ever journey from Aus to the UK, and spend the next 8 months travelling, tasting and experiencing before finally settling down.

We’ve put our heads together, pooled our skills and started a business to carry us through our trip (davolastudio.com), offering digital marketing and web design services remotely.

But in the meantime, we really thought our journey and our story would pique the interests of fellow travelling couples, new digital nomads, and plain and simple nosey parkers alike. This is a raw, real documentation of a couple navigating their life, relationship and business whilst testing the waters of a digital nomad lifestyle (with some of the fun stuff thrown in, of course).

We’ve really jumped into this whole thing feet-first, and we can’t wait to share the journey with you, warts and all.
